Why us

Most itineraries are written for someone who does not exist — an average traveller with average interests and no opinions. Ours are written after a conversation, for the people actually going.

That means fewer stops, more time in each, and a route that follows the light and the season rather than the map. It also means we will tell you when the trip you are imagining is not the trip that place can give you.

Where we go

The Lauterbrunnen valley seen from above, chalets on the slope and cliffs falling to the riverBernese Oberland · Switzerland

Interlaken, Mürren & the Jungfrau

Up the rack railway to the Jungfraujoch, then out to Mürren — a village with no through road, on a shelf above the Lauterbrunnen waterfalls. Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn is the turn most itineraries miss.

May – October · winter sports December – March

Covered wooden bridge crossing a river in front of an old townCentral Switzerland

Lucerne, Rigi & Pilatus

The easiest first stop in the country: a medieval town on the water with two mountains either side of it. Cogwheel up the Rigi, a walk along the ridge, and the boat back across the lake instead of the train.

Year-round · best April – October

Lugano & Ticino

Italian-speaking, palm-lined, and on the far side of the Alps from everything above — which is exactly why it surprises people. Monte Brè for the sunset, and the lake boats for the day.

April – October

Terraced vineyards dropping to a wide lake with mountains beyondVaud · Switzerland

Lausanne & Lake Geneva

French-speaking Switzerland, where the Lavaux vineyards are terraced right down to the shore and almost none of the wine ever leaves the country. Montreux and Chillon are along the same water.

April – October · harvest in September

How it works

Three ways to travel with us

01

Individual journeys

Built around two, four, or a family. Pace, budget and interests set the shape; nothing is shared with strangers unless you want it to be.

Two travellers and up · fully bespoke

02

Group excursions

Clubs, families travelling together, colleagues. One point of contact, one plan, and pricing that improves as the group grows.

Eight travellers and up · escorted or self-guided

03

Planning only

You book your own flights and rooms; we do the routing, the timings and the local knowledge, and hand you the itinerary.

For travellers who prefer to book direct

What we hold to

Six things we do not trade away

Personalization

We tailor each journey to the traveller in front of us, not to a package that happens to be selling.

Authenticity

Real encounters with the landscape, culture and hospitality of a place — not a staged version of it.

Excellence

Care in the planning and in the small hours: the transfer that is already waiting, the room that faces the right way.

Adventure

We are happy to leave the paved road. Some of the best days of a trip are the ones with no fixed schedule.

Sustainability

Travel that leaves a place able to carry the next visitor: local operators, smaller groups, fewer flights.

Integrity

We say what a trip will cost and what it will be like. If we are the wrong fit, we say that too.

Next step

Tell us where you are thinking of going.

No deposit and no obligation at this stage — just a conversation about dates, pace and what you actually want out of the trip.
